Social content design and art direction the Foundation’s newly launched Instagram.

RWJF needed to create an engaging social presence to foster community and reach other leaders in the health equity space. To support RWJF’s Instagram launch, I created a library of 40 ready to use templates accompanied by an in-depth playbook with instructions and tips, so everyone (not just designers!) could use them.

I created templates in two main categories: information-based (infographics, statements or responses, quotes) and community-based (spotlighting individuals or organizations, funding application information). Select examples below.

All About the Community

Because the majority of the content is amplifying communities’ and grantees’ messages, the RWJF visual presence needed to take a backseat. Using RWJF’s secondary colors, I created carousels that emphasized the featured organization with impactful photography spanning multiple frames. Not only does the multi-frame photograph quickly contextualize the feature, it also encourages swiping through.

Well Worth…
a community-based social content series

To bring their community together, RWJF wanted to launch a monthly social series that revolves around recommendations…that are well worth your time. Whether a book, podcast or show, the Well Worth series highlights racial justice and health equity through diverse stories, all pre-vetted and selected especially for their audience.

To kick off the series, I created a light brand including a logo, color palette, and stylized images and typography. I built a base carousel template, then customized as needed for each month. Selections below.
